An SEO Checklist Before You Launch a Website
Launch is the time to remove avoidable ambiguity. Make it clear which pages exist, what they describe and how a visitor can reach them. The following checklist covers a useful foundation; ongoing search results need observation after the site is published.
Review the pages that matter
Open the homepage, every service page, the portfolio, contact page and any guides you want people to find. Check that each has useful original content and a clear purpose. A page should answer the visitor’s question before asking for an enquiry. Do not publish empty sections merely to target another keyword.
Check titles and page addresses together
Use a specific title and description for each page. Confirm that the canonical address points to the intended public version. Check the Arabic and English equivalents, and keep internal links aligned with those addresses. When replacing an existing URL, plan the redirect rather than leaving a useful older link broken.
Keep content discoverable
Important text should be available in the rendered page and reached through normal links. Test the sitemap against actual working pages and confirm that production settings do not still block indexing. Forms and admin functions need different treatment from public service content. Check a missing URL returns a genuine 404.
Check the experience on mobile
Review image loading, layout shifts, navigation and forms. Reserve image space and keep animation from hiding content. Performance lab tests help diagnose problems; live Core Web Vitals reflect actual visitors and can only be assessed once data is available. A single good score is not a promise of a particular search position.
Prepare the first measurement cycle
After publication, verify the domain in Search Console and submit the sitemap. Review indexing and the queries bringing impressions and clicks. Configure analytics and enquiry events separately when the accounts are ready. Use those observations to improve the pages people reach rather than expanding content blindly.
